Description
Windows Vista Loader 2.0 for Windows Vista Ultimate & Windows Vista Ultimate+SP1
This should work for any PC manufacture.
Heres how I got mine activated if anyone else is wondering for a Dell Machine. I must stress I didn't need to edit the bios.
1. Download Vista with or without SP1.
2. Do A clean Install so boot from DVD (You may have to change bios boot up sequence to do this from DVD. Usually delete or F2.
3. I personally entered this Windows Vista key 2QBP3-289MF-9364X-37XGX-24W6P during setup and not after. (Didnt do me any harm as I am now activated but make sure you UNTICK the box that says activate when first online.!)
4. Once setup has finish and loaded the vista desktop you may want to turn off UAC (Go to control Panel and type UAC in the search box in top right corner of window. When you do this you will be asked to restart the machine).
5. Once desktop has loaded again goto C: drive and create a folder called Vistaloader and extract/copy contents of vista loader 2.0 into it.
6. Click Vista Start Button and type CMD into searc box and cmd.exe will appear. Right click on this and Run as Administrator.
7. In command console check that all you have is c: and cursor otherwise type in cd .. (this goes back a folder).
8. Now when you are in C: you need to type install.cmd dell
9. If you have any other OEM manufacture PC then look in the data folder for Vista Loader 2.0 and there are lots of different makes in there.
10. You will have to restart the pc when the Vista Loader has done what it does then you can check to see if it has worked by right clicking on Computer in Vista Start Button and click properties. At the bottom of this window should say Windows is activated. Now disable automatic updates.
